Sorry for the late reply, thanks for all the advise.
SF have said it needs to be a solicitors or social worker who can clarify that the position in order to be classed independant.
If changing from full time to part time no funding is available so potentially in a worse position?
We will be contacing the Uni about the hardship fund.

In way, they're right, but in another way they're wrong.
You can get full time support if you go part time. You have to be enrolled on a full time course, but studying it on a part-time basis due to illness though.0 -
Just as an insight, I've turned down stronger cases as an assessor. I would not even consider this, in fact I'd probably make an aeroplane from the letter telling me about this.
That seems to be what Student Finance England do with all paperwork. At least now we know!Please note: I am NOT Martin Lewis, just somebody else called Martyn that likes money saving!0 -

I'm actually at an LEA, where we're allowed to use common sense in our processing. SFE expect all cases to be textbook.0
