I'm not affected, but I still don't get why companies that obviously know there are issues and will fold shortly, continue to take orders and payment. They have a duty of care to there customers and should stop accepting orders rather than let them come in and not dispatch tickets, knowing the eventually outcome the customers will be out of pocket.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Yes it's true. Just got back from work, opened up emails to get the same email about Theme Park Tickets Direct going bust! We bought tickets on 2nd August 2010 by credit card (thankfully), and notice that the website is still taking bookings. This surely can't be right! Does anybody know when they actually went bust? Have just contacted credit card company but unfortunately they only work 8am - 6pm. Not sure what the procedure is for this and how quickly you get money back. Does anybody know? Guess what I'll be doing at 8am tomorrow!!!0

Amazingly website still seems to be up and running and taking orders. Hope more people dont get caught out.“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0

Unfortunately I'm another victim of TPTD - I only paid for the tickets 2 weeks ago at which point they must have known they were in trouble. £1000 down and as I paid by visa debit no guarantee I'll get the money back - the bank told me at as TPTD weren't ABTA protected we may not - Why has MSE recommended such a company who aren't ABTA protected?
Not looking forward to telling my 4 year old he won't be visiting Disney after all!0 -
This company has had problems for about a year. The company it a load of holding companies owned by Seatem Group. The call centre has a message saying they are outsourced which is rubbish.

Keith Prowse and the many other trading names also sell themepark tickets for Seatem Attraction Tickets Limited. So you might not be getting your tickets if you bought from a number of other websites too.0 -
Hope everyone affected by this gets their money back quickly and easily & manage to sort more tickets out.
Really angers me that their website is still live right now and taking orders :mad: I used them this time last year & the service was shocking!! Had to call them at least 5 times along with numerous emails before finally getting contact details for one of the top bosses who sorted my tickets for me. Makes me wonder if they were in trouble even then!!
Anyone looking for another company to buy their tickets from - I'd recommend Orlando Ticket Deals who I've booked with this year as they sent tickets out within a week and were very very reasonably priced0 -
We've been affected too - ordered our Disney tickets and SeaWorld/Busch Garden tickets - as has my H2B's sister - we go in 41 days and are getting married when we are in Orlando, so have booked extra tours etc. whilst in the parks so need entry tickets to be able to do these extra things - of all the holidays for this to happen....we used TPTD in previous years with no problems at all!!!
i can't believe their website is still taking orders this morning - absolutely disguisting behaviour - makes me so mad! Wish I could do something to warn other people!!!!0 -

You probably know this already but you can use 'Visa Chargeback' to get your money back on Visa cards - whether credit or debit cards. See http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/section75-protect-your-purchases#debitcard . Visa Chargeback has nothing to do with ABTA protection as far as I'm aware.0 -
I'm yet another victim I ordered Disney tickets and Orlando Flex tickets 4 weeks ago from my travel agent who use keith Prowse (part of Seatem group). Paid over £1700 and was told would get my tickets 2 weeks before travel. I was told today by my Travel agent that I will not get my tickets as Keith Prowse are no longer despatching/fullfiling any orders!! I leave in 8 days time! My agent is part of ABTA and I am currently waiting to hear what my position is regarding a refund.
Now i've got to start looking for alternative source for tickets at late notice.
I'm so angry that these companies take your money when they know they may not be able to supply to you and don't offer imediate refund!0 -

Yet again these blantant robbers are getting away with stealing peoples hard earned cash knowing damm well that they cant fullfill their obligations bottom line they only want your cash day in and day out you get reports of companys falling by the wayside on purpose just legalised theives it has to stop there should be a law to imprison these people for a long time if it had been a working man that done this he would be jailed for a long time. and they tell you we have the best justice system in the world. enough said.0
