  • I just went and did my weekly shop at Tescos - went with the idea of adding it all up on Tesco.com first and then seeing if we could come out spending less..... :money: well we picked up a couple of treats and some bigger packets of things that were on offer - but only spent £5 over what we budgeted (pre LBM it would have been at least £15 over).

The best bit was that we got there and I realised that I had forgotten my purse so OH had to pay (we usually take turns) so I ended up not spending anything.... does that count?!

Big fat no spender for me today too :)

Helped BF move into student accomodation today so was entertained and did some light exercise.

And now thankfully (phew!) shops are closed for the day.

Will be joining the challenge, with £10 myself. Possibly need some items from tesco........... but not sure what yet. Have lunches for work sorted, will at house and home :)

Failed miserably at challenge last week. So need to teach self some discipline and strict adherence to all things DFW!

The annoying thing is that my wife had written a list - I just forgot to take it!
Actually to be perfectly honest - only £2.88 was for things I had forgotten yesterday - I have just received a roasting from my wife for buying a bottle of LUIS FELIPPE Chilliean Cabernet Sauvignon on offer at £3.99 from £6.50 - Sorry:rolleyes:

  • Hi guys newbie here, fed up with reading; I wanna join in especially after the flippant spending this weekend!!!

Let's not talk about yesterday but today I spent £32 in Icelands, £24 in Co-op (including a shocking £8 on batteries  ), £4 on paper Dragon things on our day out and £2 on two bottles of coke, oh and £2 on a book (Tao of Pooh and the Te of Piglet ;) - from Oxfam).

Plus £10 for the oh to attend her weekly group and to buy some fags ( ).

So should I give a formal introduction as to who I am, etc and if so where do I put it?

  • I didn't include my intended spend for the week....

90p for breakfast at work (it's a social thing). That's all I can forsee but perhaps I'll set myself a budget of £10.

I know the oh want's to buy bulk fags for £30, saving a small fortune but costing more than if she didn't smoke at all.
