Tesco Credit Card

I received my Aug statement from Tesco and set up my payment online for this bill. On the 13 Sep I received a statement from Halifax (a card I very rarely use now), here I noticed that a payment had been made to this account, I immediately realised what I had done, set up the payment for the wrong card. I rang Tesco CS to arrange a payment using my debit card, having given them the details of my card, I then learned that the late payment charge and interest had already been added to the account, at this point I told them that I no longer wanted to make this payment, I was told that I should expect to receive phone calls about the non payment which I took to be a threat, so we entered into a bit of a discussion about this, and that a note would be made on my account saying that I would now pay last months bill with Sep bill.

Today 17 Sep, I was checking my bank balance and found I was £900+ overdrawn, the payment for Aug bill had been taken from my account, I rang Tesco, no notes had been made on the account, no record of the phone call, the transaction had been done through an automated system not an advisor, and that it was my word against theirs.

-and you phone bill will prove you called. fsa rules state they must have record of every call being made, even if its only key pads options
