Combi micrwave just out of warranty

Hi,
I've got a Panasonic combi micro (NNA514A) which is three weeks out of warranty and it's died. I just wondered if anyone has successfully pursued a free fix from either Curry's or Panasonic when a product had just passed the expiry date?

Thanks

Try contacting Currys first and then Panasonic and see what they say. That's your best bet.

Beyond that you could pursue under the Sale of Goods Act, it's mentioned on every other thread on here so just look through them for details!

As has been said many times here (using the search facility would be helpful) you should be contacting the retailer as your contract is with them, not the manufacturer, and you need to seek a remedy as per the SOGA. See what they say first though.

Panasonic are very good if you get nowhere with Currys. Had a similar problem with Comet earlier this year and Panasonic fixed it at a local agent (who said that Comet had bodged a previous warranty repair). But as said go to Currys first. Be aware that Panasonics are prone to blocked air vents which cause overheating and failure so make sure the holes at the back are not blocked or you may get told it is misuse.
