    Hi,

had a look at P&O, just for something to do with my early morning coffee,

You can save quite a bit if you book early, and if you want to sail during the night.

I compared prices for today, a week ahead, and a month ahead, 2 adults and car, single journey.

Be worth booking ahead, and giving youself plenty of time to get there.

Not the ferry but my experience with the tunnel.

I had booked a return on the ferry but couldnt make the return leg so I turned up at the tunnel for a single ticket back to Uk it cost me about £150 which at the time was about 5 times as much as i had paid for the return on the ferry

yes, the price each way is what I paid in April and May, come to £70 altogether, which wasn't too bad, not cheap, but not that bad.

    Norfolkline is a lot cheaper.

    Tomorrow (17/8) - £33-41
    Net week (24-8) - £19
    Next Month (17/9) - £19

    All one way prices.

Takes 2 hours to cross instead of 1.5hours to Calais but if you're heading to Belgium/Holland/Germany or anywhere east you get the half-hour back in reduced travel time.

P&O will allow you to switch ferries FOC providing you arrive withing 2 hours of your booked time. (Early or late)
  • I was just about to post about the two hours either side rule :)

The Docks at Calais have lots of buildings dotted around with loos, and vending machines - teas/coffees/hot chocs for about a euro a shot...or is it 1.50 now-I can't remember.
