laptop to play sims?

hello all, hope someone can help, i want to buy my daughter a laptop, really all she wants it for is to play the sims and download music but i have no idea where to start:o have up to £500 to spend, thanks all.

Any laptop in that price bracket will do what you require! Look at the normal sites like Currys, Amazon, Play, Ebuyer etc to get an idea of Spec/Cost. You cant go wrong with that sorta money. Tesco are doing some good deals on laptops at the moment!0

Asus, Toshiba or Sony are the brands I would go with personally, they tend to have better reliability than most other manufacturers.
Looking at e-buyer, Tosh and Sony are pretty expensive but what about:

Has 4 gigs of 1066MHz ram (thats a lot) a gig dedicated graphics, 2 year warranty, and a core 2 duo processor, it should perform very well.
On that second one you are also saving £80 on its original price, I think that's a really good deal.0 -

Sims requires "128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0" which basically means it doesn't, most integrated graphics will run it though personally I think you probably would find it smoother with a dedicated graphics card.0
