Mortgage Payment Insurance

Hi
I was made redundant recently and have started claiming Mortgage payment insurance. I have been signing on and completing the form which entitles me to this. I have just been offered some freelance work which is under 16 hours a week. Do I have to declare this to my insurance provider? The form I've been filling in only mentions declarations of over 16 hours so am I right in presuming I don't have to worry if I work less than 16 hours.
