How to straighten stainless steel

We want to fit a stainless steel double drainer sink in our kitchen and we found a grade B Franke UKX612 on ebay.

This sink is around £300-350 new and the one on ebay is around £85 with the shipping.
As you can see from the pics on ebay some corners are bent and this is why it is going cheap.

I would like to know who can straighten these corners, can this be very expensive or is it is false economy altogether?

You might get away with just the action of securing the sink to the work surface, is enough to straighten those corners.

However, you never know really until you try it. And then you will have cut the hole in the work surface and if it doesn't work the next sink you buy might not fit that hole.

It doesn't look too bad. If it was my sink that I had bent, then I think I would have a go at straightening it. However, despite being a fairly capable metal worker, I don't think I would want to pay nearly £100 on the off chance that I could do a good (perfect) job. You will be probably looking at that sink every day for a long time... and you could soon be wishing you'd paid the extra for a perfect one.

I don't think that the action of pulling that damaged corner down will make it right. I would not be surprised if there was a crease in the metal. You would never get that out without leaving a mark. I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. As the saying goes " If something seems too good to be true, then it probably is"
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Frankly that sink is a piece of scrap. Theres too much damage. don't touch it with a barge pole is my advice.

Make an offer ..You never know they might take you up.

I would think £50 , but that would include P & P, so £35.01 would be my bid.

You will also need the plumbing in kit which will bring the price up.

If you still have the old kitchen work top you could try a dummy fitting in that to see how it looks.

Even if it were free its still a piece of scrap!

nice new shiny ones, cheaper than a bent one off ebay.

I don't see why anyone needs a double drainer these days?

ps You could try and straighten it, but it would never look the same, and you would KNOW it was there.
You could take it to professionals, but it would cost you more to have it straightened.
The ebay one isn't a bargain, not when it's damaged like that.
