Repairing/replacing a front wing on a Megane

Hi
At the weekend my beloved wife had a bit of an accident with our 02 Megane. This resulted in some nice scratches down the driver's side, a broken wing mirror and a couple of delightful dents on the front wing.
The wing mirror is being taken care of, and the scratches look simple enough to touch up/t-cut. The problem is the wing, to my (untrained) eyes it looks like a replacement job as it has two pretty deep dents in it.
Our local garage don't do bodywork repairs but recommended a local bodyshop that does, so off it went for a quote. We read the quote and had a jolly chuckle, 800 quid! £52 for the wing, £120 to respray it, £450 for labour, £180 for VAT. Considering the car is worth about £800 we decided against it.
So now I'm left with the option of leaving it dented, which wouldn't bother me too much but part of the wing near the door has been pushed in so you get a rather nice crunching noise whenver you open the door. Get another quote, or visit the scrappies.
Does anyone have experience of fitting a front wing on an old, old style 02 Megane, easy enough? Thanks.

The wings are bolted on so shouldn't be all that difficult to replace, i.e. no welding. New ones come in primer so will need painting. Ideal would be a good one from a breaker in the same colour. That quote seems about average for a bodyshop btw.0
