  • I had a similar problem at first. I wasn't registered on the site so when I clicked on the link I had to register and when I did that it took me to a city specific page. But when I'd registered when I clicked on the link on the MSE page it took me to the Photobox page.

So, the link on MSE takes you straight to the photobox offer but you need to already be logged in for it to take you there. Hope that helps.

Now my question... when you use the offer can you only buy prints or do you have to buy a photobook? The info on MSE and Groupon siggests you can buy prints but the T&Cs on photobox says:

Term and conditions: 1. This offer entitles you to £30 off hard cover photobooks, excluding postage and packaging.

Nothing about prints there (or collages and posters).

It's definitely the "side deal" if your selected city is London:

I don't think its that good an offer, you have to pay postage on top of the £8 and it can't be used with other photobox offers.

Photobooks are usually £30 (only just bought one - excellent quality) so £8 is a DEFINATE bargain IMHO - ive bought 2

Their photobooks are fab but at the moment they already have an offer of 2 for 1 so you could get 2 photobooks for £30 anyway.

On another fairly recent offer they were giving free a photobook for registering with their site, you just paid postage of £3.99.

The current groupon deal states that postage is extra i.e can't be paid for with the coupon so the photobooks would cost £11.99 each, slightly cheaper than their current offer but nowhere near as good as some of their previous offers.

yeah, i got one when there was a £20 off code also, total came to £13.99 including postage, so this will be £12.00 inc postage, still a good deal anyhow x
  • I still think this is a great offer though... the 2-4-1 offer is only valid for 44+ page photobooks which cost quite a bit more than £30. And presumably you'd still need to pay postage on those anyway.

Only paying p&p when you register is obviuously a brilliant deal but for existing customers who won't be eligibale for that sort of offer I think this is great and could be hard to top.

I've had a photobook from photobox before and the quality was excellent.

Anyone got an answer for my question above?
  • Another possible problem I've seen is that the MSE information seems to suggest you can buy as many vouchers as you want so long as you use them for different transactions.

But the Groupon site says multiple vouchers can be bought as gifts and the photobox T&Cs say that the offer is restricted to one use per customer only.

So that suggests to me that although you can buy as many vouchers as you want you'll need to redeem them on different accounts... the extra vouchers should be used by someone else.

Something to watch out for, I don't think the MSE information is correct.

I'm also a bit confused if this is JUST photobooks or other stuff too...

From MSE: "You can pay £8 to get a £30 e-voucher to spend at Photobox specifically on hardback photo books, collages, prints and poster.

From Groupon: "8 instead of £30 to have those treasured snapshots transformed into collages, prints, posters or your very own personal Photo Book at PhotoBox"

And the same on Photobox+Groupon "landing" page.

So I am not sure why there are mentions here of just photobooks.

But the T&Cs at the BOTTOM of the Photobox+Groupon landing page say:

"Term and conditions: 1. This offer entitles you to £30 off hard cover photobooks, excluding postage and packaging. 2. Offer is available to new and old members of PhotoBox and other partner channels. 4. Offer is only available online and may not be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion. 5. Offer is restricted to only one use per customer and for UK customers only. 6. Offer expires midnight 31st October 2010. 7. All standard PhotoBox T&Cs apply."
