Equaliser 123,
thank you for the advice, I do find that simple book useful.
Gross negligence is a concept of the legal system, which denotes serious carelessness.
I see you got me there....
After all when I see the medals beside your name, I stood no chance...
You are right, the english legal system does not recognise the concept of gross negligence; rather english civil law recognises that there is only one type of carelessness - ordinary negligence.
FYI, surfing forums, searching for opportunities to drop sarcastic comments and attacks does not help anyone and frankly is rather pathetic so in the future, feel free to avoid replying to threads if you do not have an answer to the original question.
Gothicfairy, thanks for your reply.
Yes I think it is worth me writing to them anyway even if nothing happens on the back of it.0 -

And your one to comment on sarcasm?
And no its not.... Wilson v Brett defined that and its been re-affirmed many times since.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -

Nutter alert. "Medals beside [my] name". You crack me up.
Some people might just say - "you were right, I was wrong". You have to have a rant about it.0 -
Tell you what, the mistake I made was to engage with you and all your friend at the medal club in an online argument over semantics.
So be it, you were right, I was wrong - now feel free not to come back to that thread.0 -

Suggest that you esclate and complain to Ronan Dunne, O2 Chief Executive via sending him an email to ronan.dunne@o2.com.
Hope this helps and good luck.:)
This actually goes to show how useless your advice is. That is not his email address.0 -
grounds for complaint - yes.
Negligence? Unlikely. This looks like a case of pure economic loss, if there are any losses and I think that a claim against o2 for negligence would succeed.0
