I have a lovely phone bought from china. It has developed a fault which is strange.
Without sim: I can switch it on or off with no problem
With Sim: Once i switch it on, the phone switch off immediately.
I have ran out of waranty and the chinese company are not really there for me.
What can i do?
Cheers

To be honest there does not seem to be much you can do except get yourself another handset?
What phone is it? Perhaps you could google the manufacturer's details and see if there are any forum postings related to technical issues.
sorry I can't think of anything else to suggest but I hope you find a solution!

Hi,
is phone unlocked, perhaps you could try another sim?0 -
Yes it unlocked.
I have used it for a while with no problem.
I thought it should be little electronic prob0 -
Was it working previously with this SIM ? What phone is it ?
It may need the settings for your network set up ?
I sell Chinese phones on my site and use these forums below for troubleshooting as the chinese aren't too hot unless you send the phone back :

Is it a dual sim one like many Chinese models? Maybe you need 2 sims. Check the battery and sim connections, maybe gently bend the spring contacts to put a bit more pressure on the battery, if you have nothing to lose.0

Yes its dual sims.
I think the battery is ok.
Spring contact???0 -
Try it with 2 SIMS fitted. The spring contacts are the little gold looking strips that make contact with the SIMs and Battery. They are bendy and meant to make contact with a little bit of pressure via their springiness. If these contacts get dirty or pushed flat, they will not connect well and you get intermittent problems.0
