cheapest hyundai service ?

my huyndai getz is coming up to its 10,000 mile service.

although i bought it from a dealer, i did not get the free service offer and so am now looking for the cheapest place to service it and to stay within the terms of the warranty - guess that means official hyundai place but i would imagine prices vary with diff dealers.

has anybody got any experience of which is cheapest and how much the service is likely to cost

thanks

cars are my game and hyundais are one of my specialist.

im not sure about the specifics of the getz warranty, but if its the same as other models- your best getting your 10k done at the dealership.

i know this is against everything i preach - but hyundai head office can be very sneeky about avoiding paying out for big jobs, even under warranty - and at such an early age and a car still untested (ive seen one with 54k on the clock - so no real test of time yet) , main dealer is best.

if you live near the north-west BCC are a biggish hyundai dealer network with a few garages and charge reasonable prices.

also, a very good dealer in surrey.

    avoid ryders at all costs.

how do you find your getz so far?
    any issues with the car?
do you mind me asking, how much did it cost and which model getz do you own?

any hyundai or getz related questions, feel free to pm me.

    thanks for this

i am based in the south east but am prepared to travel in order to find the cheapest service, providing it makes economic sense to do so

i thought that it would be the case that they would want me to use official dealers, but it always useful to know how much lee way they will give you.

i have a 1.6 getz auto, bougt from a dealer when it was 6 months old, and paid under £9K for it - it had just under 3 K miles on the clock

very happy with it except the mpg around town but i suppose it is to be expected with the auto engine, i would thoroughly recommend it to anybody.

any good cheap dealers in essex or isit best to go to Surrey?

how much will the service cost approx?

    thanks again
  • I too have a Hyundai - a 2001 Coupe which is now out of warranty. It has had main dealer services up to now (although a little overdue each time) and I am soon to sell the car, but it needs a good service first.Total miles on car are 18k. Would I be best to stick to a main dealer or are there any other good alternatives in the South West?
