Am selling this pram for my granddad on ebay. Just been made an offer to buy it now within an hour of listing. Can you guess what the offer was? I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth but if someone has offered me within an hour something tells me it will fetch at least that.
Any ideas on what it would go for???
Thanks a lot
James

The ones marked in green were the ones that were bought.
If you click on each green one & it says one bid it is likely to be a very good price or a seller underpriced it on buy it now.
Yours has a strapped suspension system which is worth more than other models.
I would say it is £400 if the paintwork didnt have an issue.
So the question is how much would it be to paint?
A panel in a car would be £100-£200 so maybe £200 would be your top mark but I would say maybe £150 would make it worthwhile for a restorer to buy & sell on for £400 & make money.
£150-£200.......??? Thats my valuation because I reckon because of the model & colour its £400 all day long to the right person....
How much have you been offered? Not Again0 -
under 150. might let it run out have had another offer for less and someone else interested in delivery charge.
Cheers though. Anyone else got any input?

Yes. It is obviously a sought after item so I'd just let it run it's course. If you get bombarded with offer and requests then there will never be an issue when it comes to the final minutes. I found when I was selling a different type of pram recently that I had people offering me that were selling the same ones on for more money, they must have been making offers constantly. And this was a modern one that didn't need any work doing to it!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I find pretty much every time i list an auction on ebay some people contact asking if there's a "buy it now" or making an offer. They're just trying to get things for a lower price than they're likely to go at auction. I always say "sorry, it's listed as auction only." If you have no idea of the value of an item you're selling, ebay's a good way to do it because the item will find its price - good luck, I'm sure you'll get way over the start price!0

It's probably best to have your thread moved to the ebay forum where there are a lot of experts to give you prompt feedback.
Personally I would have taken a lot more photographs of the inside as well as the outside of the pram. Your ebay newbie status and obvious lack of specialist knowledge - no offence! - are probably two additional reasons for cheeky offers although there are those who make them regardless. I think 1985 Returns for Real has given you good advice.0 -
I agree with adding lots more pics, of the inside and the outside, including close ups of the damaged bits.
I know some people do pay a fortune for these so don't take any offers, some of them are odd women into the whole 'reborn' thing, this looks right up their street and they really do have money to burn.
Maybe you could add a subtitle, 'beautiful for a new baby/reborn' or something, so that they all find your listing!
Do an ebay search for 'reborn' if you're feeling brave. It freaks me out personally but each to their own.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies.
