Awesome!! So I'll need TWO blueberry bushes??! What a NIGHTMARE!... not!! We'll have TONS of them will we? Hurrah!
Will remember to mention that, so thanks for telling me - now you've said it I do recall reading something on the Greenfingered Board but had forgotten so .. :T to you! Spoke to Mr Sessie's mum yesterday and she was going to get me one from his grandma (she buys the presents from grandma as grandma is too frail to get out and out these days) so I'll either ask his mum if she would get me one too or, failing that, get myself the other one "because I HAVE to!" :rotfl:.
Yesterday was a tiring one - Mr Sessie had a tummy bug (poor dear, you know how awful men are when they're even a BIT ill!) so didn't even get up until 10 am. Lounged around moaning about how awful he felt but wouldn't go back to bed, insisted on going to his mum's where he just lay in the garden face-down not talking and leaving all the conversation AND looking after both children to me.. Was NOT best pleased. I insisted we went home after an hour or so and he went straight to bed (at 3pm) leaving me with the children and SUCH a mess downstairs of toys and other stuff to sort out before we both got back to work today. I finally sat down at nearly 8pm. From being up at 5.15 am (when he briefly got up to open the gate on the children's door as they were shouting. He then went back to his bed and closed the door so they both came into me and I had to get up!!).
I just feel at the moment as though almost everything is down to me. Okay, he works full time but I've just gone up to 3 days a week and keeping house and entertaining/educating two almost-3-year-olds day in day out isn't exactly a walk in the park! I would just like a bit of recognition sometimes y'know?? I have days where I feel under-the-weather but where's MY lie-in? When does he say, "I can see you're not well, I'll look after them, you go and get some rest"?
On a morning I'm the one that gets up at stupid-o-clock, makes their beds, changes and dresses them, takes them downstairs, makes a drink (for us and them), makes their breakfast and he wanders down eventually, sits down on the sofa and stares at the telly whilst I'm washing up, deciding what we're eating that day, sorting out clothes, putting the washing in.... this INCLUDES the days when we are both at work. I've sorted the pre-school, including the visit before and thinking about all the questions we need to ask, I'm the one that reduced all the bills last week (we were BOTH off work and sans kids remember!) and so it goes on. Am just a bit tired - in every sense - at the moment. Am also having a run-in with my mum - that happens VERY rarely so it's awkward with her too.
I'm going to stop. It's all tumbling out and making him sound like a total git. He's not (well, not a TOTAL one!) but he's just... a bit selfish and unthinking at the moment.
Stop Sessie stop.

Sessie,

We all have days like this - especcially when we have to live with men!!
Just try and look at it like this - if he did all those things, would he do them right??? You know you'd only have to go over them again or you'd have to constantly tell him how grateful you are and make him feel like he's run a marathon!!
Chin up, you're doing an amazing job!!

Have only managed to do two of the above.
Went to see the pre-school yesterday - it looks lovely and the owners were really nice, the children seemed really happy and there was lots for them to do. Plus Boychild and Girlchild didn't even look back, they just went in, sat down and started playing and barely even checked to see if I was still there whilst I was talking things through so that's a good sign. I still expect Boychild to have a couple of days crying when he notices I've gone when they actually start but ... I'm happy about where they're going and it's SO close to home (5 mins walk) that I will be able to drop them off, get back home and get SO much done in the house in the 3 hours they are there. They start in 17 weeks... not that I'm counting!!
Have also made an appt for myself to see GP next Friday 20th May to talk about my back. Picked up prescription for stronger medication yesterday and took it last night, it worked really well. I slept pretty well and wasn't in absolute agony when I woke up, which I usually am.
It was a hella long day though. Took children to preschool at 9.30, then for a bit of a walk. Then took Boychild up to GP as on Monday he smashed his left cheekbone and eye on the sofa after taking the cushions off to jump on. Spent 4 hours in A&E on Monday before asking how much longer it would be and being told up to 3 more hours so we had to leave. So I had to take him to the GP on Tues to make sure he was OK but also as I didn't want his notes saying that I'd taken him in with a head injury and then just left without treatment. He seems to be fine now, although something of a poster child for the NSPCC, which was great walking into the preschool yesterday!!
Did a big shop at Mr T's last night - took over 2 hours as I was comparing EVERYTHING! They are so cheeky though, covering labels that show better deals ... though all the ones I saw, I uncovered them again!
Bought another £9 of savings stamps, have £28 now - it all adds up!
On the naughty side, have incurred £9.00 late fees for my audiobooks which I'm annoyed that I forgot to take back. I have renewed them now so not incurring any more but need to find the time to get to library and take them back.
On the exciting side, my strawberry PLANTS (as opposed to the seedlings I'm growing from seeds) have small green actual BERRIES on them!! It was quite ridiculous how excited I was to see them yesterday!
Just a quick update, am at work and break almost over.
Back soon!

Another quick one, start work in 10 mins...
Went to the library at the weekend and paid my overdue fine of £9.00... grr naughty Sessie. Also got Mr Sessie and me a card that gets you free or reduced entry into all sorts of attractions in the local area and then used it immediately taking the children to one of the local museums. Spent Saturday afternoon feeding pigeons and squirrels in a city centre park so, apart from lunch at BHS, a free day out!
Have also phoned the primary school in the village to tell them I don't need the places in September from the children as I have put them in the local preschool.
Have been on a diet for a week now and have been SO good! Am not really telling anyone, just getting on with it but my motivation is pretty high at the moment so I'm going with it!
Have said to mum that if we don't manage to do a car boot in the next month I will take all our stuff to the charity shops - not an ultimatum but I just can't take all the boxes of stuff hanging around much longer!!! It may be that we simply can't find a day when we're both around, when I can get childcare (if Mr Sessie is working for example) etc.. but we need to try and sort something or give it up as a bad job. I'd prefer to do the boot sale as I think I'd make a good bit of money as I have so much stuff, but we'll see...
Right, guess I'd better go and check my work inbox.....

Have received cheques from L&G Isa (one cheque for me, one for Mr Sessie for exactly half the total, even though we both signed a letter asking for a cheque for the total amount AND phoned them up to confirm this when they wrote to us!). Financial Advisor coming for them at 7pm on Tues 31st May.
Have paid another £4.00 onto the Tesco savings card - now at £33.
Sad day yesterday, had to take one of my cats to the vet as he had got really thin, though no other major signs, he was still eating, playing, sitting on your knee (when HE wanted to!) and purring etc...
Anyhow, she said he had a big tumour on his stomach/intestines and although they could open him up to see if they could remove it, the likelihood would be that they would ring me and say basically it wasn't worth waking him up again after that operation. So I had to make the sad decision to have him put to sleep there and then. I couldn't bear taking him home again just for my selfish reasons to have a bit more time with him, if he was going to be in any pain at all so I know it was the right thing to do.
But there was an empty space on my bed last night ...
