Croatia Accommodation

Please help....

We are travelling to Croatia this August, and need to book our accommodation (we don't want to rely on sorting it out each time we arrive at a ferry port as we are spending money on a holiday and want to be guaranteed the luxury of an ensuite etc).

Does anyone know any good websites to book through that have clear indications of price and availability?

So far, I have found www.hostelworld.com

Please advise if you know anything cheaper or more useful!

Thanks

I wouldn't have thought you'd get much cheaper than places on hostelworld, and in August you are travelling in peak season, so it is best to book ahead if you're looking for budget rooms.

You could try hostelbookers.com which is similar but may have some alternative choices.

Also, bear in mind places often have minimum stays and you can pay a premium of double the room rate if you are only staying a night or two.

Thanks will check out that website too.

DH doesn't seem to think the prices are too bad considering it's August!

By looking online now at availability, I'm happy we're booking in advance and not winging it!

Thanks for the advice - appreciated!
  • I can recommend...Hotel Bonavia in Rejeyka (not sure of the spelling) and Hotel Dubrovnik in Zagreb.

Hotel Bonavia is fabulousness, with premier inn prices.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

    Where are you going?

I know of some nice apartments in Split.

It all depends on budget and how many of you there are.

We're going to be all over! Not staying anywhere for very long. Just me and DH! Dubrovnik, Korcula, Hvar and Plitvice National Park.

I stopped here in Dubrovnik. Cheap and cheerfull with ensuite and also fridge and hob.

I booked it at Hostel Bookers (http://www.hostelbookers.com/) but you could book it direct over the phone. They speak perfect English and are very friendly.

I actually left a watch there under the bed and they contacted me by email when I got back and posted it at their expense.

The place also has a pebble beach opposite and is also on the main bus routes to reach the harbour (10 minutes), Lapad (5 mins) and Dubrovnik Old town (5 minutes).

    Mortgage-free Glee!
We have looked at package holidays for Dubrovnik and the prices are ridiculous  so will definitely consider the above and book flights separately.
