Hello
I am looking for an affordable printer that does not have a chipped cartridge so I can refill the cartridges myself without having to invest in a temprimental chip resetter device.
Any recomendations would be very greatfull.
Thanks all in advance.

I don't know if this helps but the download from http://host-a.net/jerrypop/PrinterInkSecrt_RM_Feb-09.wmv shows you how to re-set the memory chip on Epson cartridges.0

I've been refilling the original cli-8's on my ip5300 for 3 years without ever using a chipsetter. Lost ink monitoring a long time ago!
Don't know if printers have got harder to refill - I'd google any printer for refill capability before deciding.0 -
have used inkemporium.co.uk for years, good prices ,free postage ,never problem with their cheaper inks.0

Cant reset cips on new cartridges and when epson compats are as little as 89p each why would you want to muck about trying to refill them ?? the other alternative is to buy some re-fillable cartridges that have auto re-setting chips fitted to them.

Brother printers do not have chipped cartridges, compatible cartridges are very cheap.0
