  • Depending on your relationship with your new employer, you could always see if they can provide you with some money after you've worked a couple of weeks, instead of waiting until you get paid at the end of the month.

Do you pay your Council Tax by DD or post / post office?

Should I pay everything this month, and cancel september direct debits then pay double when I get paid?????.....

yes, they will get annoyed with you, but it doesn't sound like you have much option. Unlless you have stuff to sell (laptop? DVDs? CDs? Vdieo games/ console?)

I agree with cancelling DD's that are not linked to your credit file, as long as you are sure you can catch up with them within 1 month?

Payday loan could be an option, but very high interest rate that you need to consider when you come to repay it?

Yes Loans often offer these types of loans.

I have looked at what Ill get paid at the end of September and I can cover the cancelled direct debits then. So think Ill do that, and use the cash for my train fare.

Was paying towards council tax as I lived in a house with non students. And I finished uni in May, so had to start paying it then.

    THANK YOU EVERYONE SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!

Just about think Ill make it! Allowing myself to get a bit more excited about the new job now.

Thanks again - your all stars :)

I'd be asking that uni for a refund.
