Afternoon,
I have a new job starting in 2 weeks (23/08), but cant move to the city my new job is in until the end of September.
I am only getting paid for the 3 weeks I have worked in August, so will get about £800, and have £700 a month outgoings.
I need £200 for a train ticket to commute to and from my job for the first month. As you can see this doesnt add up.
I have no savings, nothing - im young and have just left uni.
My bank account is a 'debt manager client' so I cant have any more overdraft, loan or credit card.
I applied for 4 credit cards online: tesco, capital one, vanquis, barclaycard - but all said no.
Is there anything I can do? Ideally I'm looking for about £300, so that I can pay my train fare and have some to live on for the month.
help help help help help help help.....
Thank you so much in advance for any advice there is out there....

needing the money now, cant afford to wait til end of the month to get paid from a new job, as i need to start commuting in 2 weeks time.
I know ive left it late, but i only got offered the job 2 weeks ago, had to pretty much give my notice there and then. thats when i booked in with bank and tried credit cards etc.... with no luck.
Ive heard about those payday loans - but the majority on here say stay away.
Once I start my new job Ill be on plenty and will be fne, the payrise is great and its what i want. Its just getting to the office....0 -
What is the breakdown of the £180 bills?
What is the £50 phone bill - is that a mobile? On contract?
ETA - can you open new bank account with an overdraft, or does your current bank account situation prevent that with a new account, too?
Your new employer may also offer upfront travel loans (which then get deducted from your pay), but whether they would do that before the first payslip, I don't know. It's worth asking; my old company used to do it.
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
cancel the council tax and gas DD and any other utility for the month, they wont do much to you that can get recorded on your file at least until your earning. Pay only the bills that go on your credit file.0

Yeah £50 phone contract. I can get a better deal in October - got majorly conned. Will be £35 in October.
Bills:
£70 - eon: gas and electric
£30 - anglian water
£80 - towards council tax
(my housemate pays other half of council tax, tv, internet, broadband, house insurance etc)0 -
