I have just had to fight tooth and nail with Asda.
I ordered 10 bottles of Champagne. I got a telephone message that
they had run short so the order was cancelled, then at the end of the message that they might send a substitute. WHAT.....
half an hour later delivery man came with 10 bottles of Cava. No thanks so the driver took it back.
Just got my cc bill and yes they have refunded my money - less the delivery charge - cheeky sods.
The man on the phone said they will send me an evoucher. No you wont, i want the delivery charge refunded please. Went to speak to his manager. He was away ages and ages. Finally, he came back
Yes, they will under the circumstances refund onto my card
(and they will send me an evoucher for delivery next time)
If this sort of thing happens on a regular basis The Supermarkets must be making a mint out of this business.
Had i bought with my debit card i might not have noticed but both items were listed together on my cc this morning.
Dont know that I will shop with them again to be honest.
i did get one over on them and found an alternative freephone number for their 0844 number on Sayn0to0870

Yes, it was, I think it was about £4.50 but on the invoice when it
came they had changed this to £14.00 so i would probably have sent it back anyway.
