how to claim?

my sons were involved in a car accident 8 years ago and were awarded damages to be held in trust till the children were 18 the eldest turned 18 last week so i foned the court, and now they've sent me a form to fill in but this form seems to be a kind of maintenance form and reads i want part of the monies and not the lump sum son is entitled to

ie
1. A payment out of the fund of £____ for __________
2. A payment out of the fund of £_____ for each _________ for the maintenance of _____________
I phoned the court back and they said thatis the correct form and to fill it in sign it and send back with both children's birth certificates any one out there been in this situation or can advise? thanks

    Not sure if this would work but most solicitors will give you half and hour's free advice so you could ring around and see if a local one would tell you what to do. If the form has a number printed on the bottom you could try and find a web site on line that would explain what this form is called/what it means. e.g. put in Google "child accident+court forms when compensation deferred" or something similar.
