Hi
Installed a wireless modem, but use the main computer via the hard-wired connection. The problem I have is, there are many sites that I just cannot access now, and these are ones that should not be a problem at all, for example I cannot get to halifax.co.uk - at any time night or day, the page will time out. On the other hand I am fine with other sites. Has anyone an idea as to why it is doing this???

Enter 212.140.245.97 in your browser address bar and see if it opens the Halifax website. That will help indicate whether or not you have a DNS problem.

I used to have a USB modem and that was fine, since changing this problem has started. I will go back to the shop and ask... I bought locally from an independant computer store so I reckon they will sort me out.0
