we are trying to remove 2 doors in a property, but these are not normal hinges. There are no hinges that attach the door to the wall, but the top of the door is attached to the ceiling, and the bottom of the door, to the ground.
1. does anyone know what these hinges are called?
2. could anyone offer any assistance as to how to remove these doors?
here are photos of the hinges:

I would suspect that single accessible screw must be the mechanism by which they are attached given that there is nothing else obviuosly accessible. Have you tried unscrewing them? Even a little to see if there any movement.0

Have you tried contacting Dorma. https://www.dorma-uk.co.uk/0

i haven't tried unscrewing them - as i dont want to mess with anything until i get a better idea.
i will give dorma a go. didn't think of contacting them0 -

they are called pivot hinges. just unscrew the top screws and the door/hinge will tip over/out a bit.
release the top hinge and simply lift the door off the bottom pivot/pin.Get some gorm.0 -
does this help?
a dorma door closer.

thankyou.
the door came off the top, but it was very very difficult to get it off the dorma floor spring. i phoned dorma and they suggested using a crow bar, which i didn't have.
i tried to lift it up, and the whole floor spring came up with it. it was pretty heavy!0
