Switching in a shared house.

  • If you are not in agreement with your landlord, you should wait until agreement has been reached before you attempt to switch the supplier to anyone else. Since you and not your landlord would be signing a new contract with a new supplier and committing your self to pay the bill.

Your OP suggested that you had accepted the change from all inclusive to rent plus bills and wanted to change to cheaper supplier as long as you could have all three names and payment by cheque.

If your landlord gives you a new contract on the 30 Sep and in your case it does come into effect until December you would have had the minimum 2 months notice. Check that the landlord is not also serving notice if you don't sign the new contract.

    Good luck!
