divx player

afternoon peeps, wondering if anyone can recomend a fairly decent divx player for around 40-50 squid. I got a jvc one but it seems to stutter and go out of sync on some of my divx movies so i need one that can play movies smoothly, aslo does anyone know about any good harddrive divx players where you just upload your movies onto the device then hook it up to your tv??

thanks moob, do you have the 36.99 player? if so does it play divx movies smoothly without jerking and out of sync?

The Yamadas 6700 and 6800 are good players, the 6800 being the newest based on same chipset but the 6700 is hard to source and 6800 was also last time I looked I have a look around as I havent checked of late

I don't mate, but I have a similar one from the same manufacturer, and it is decent without being spectacular.

One way to resolve the jerky playback from divx files, is to use a program called mpeg4 modifier. All you do is load the file in question and select unpack and save a new and 'de-jerkified' version. Works in 9/10 cases.

I found a 6700 on Play but its now unavailable, sorry. I also use mpeg4 modifier.

The 6800 can be get from a German web site, a couple of peeps on Yamada forum have got theres from theer to UK.

I cant vouche for site, I do no some Yamadas a good player like the 6600,6700,6800

I use the 6700 myself but the 6800 has better outputs for my audio amp than the 6700 did.

Asda do a cheap one for £25, that plays DVD, Divx, VCD, Mp3 it plays flawlessly in all formats
