in Credit cards
I have just turned 18, and have just applied for my first credit card, a Morgan Stanley Platinum card and I have been told I have been approved for this
15.9% APR, 3% cashback (until jan 07 I think), I am earning £12k pa, is it possible I could have got any better cards taking into account my age and salary

Hi,
It depends how you are going to use the card. If you are planning on paying it off in full every month, and just using it to earn Cashback, the Morgan Stanley card is pretty good.0 -
I agree. I can vouch for Morgan Stanley's platinum card. I signed up with MSDW in 1998 and use my card exclusively for retail purchases.
You can manage your account online. MSDW also accepts payments by phone so if your PC crashes, you can still settle the bill quickly in the comfort of your own home, using the automated telephone system. There's a Freefone number for this and for those occasions when you need to speak to a human being.
The Morgan Stanley platinum card pays 1% on all spending up to the first £2,000 a year and 0.5% after that. You'll be surprised how it all mounts up. (Makes you wonder what the card companies are making!)People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0
