GO Outdoors sale problems!

Hi,
GO Outdoors recently had a large sale which finished Sunday the 8th. I noticed the sale on that sunday and quickly ordered a number of items with quite large savings.
On Monday I received an email saying my order had been cancelled as the items were not in stock (of which there was no mention of availability on their website at the time of ordering or now). I had no confirmation that I wanted to cancel my order - just that it had been cancelled.
I emailed the sales team, asking why it had been cancelled and that I was happy to wait for more stock to arrive as I really wanted the sale prices. I received an email back saying that I should of got an email confirming the cancellation (which I didnt - they blamed a 'technical error') and that the order had been cancelled and hence if reordered I would need to pay full price.
Have I got any rights concerning sale prices and ordering online? The annoying thing is that I could of purchased the items from the shop but decided to order from the website.
Any help would be great
Bob

T'is annoying when firms have sales and then don't have the goods to back it up. Pets at Home had a sale a few weeks back on dog toys - all they had were really cheap ones. Any toy which would've been a real bargain was amazingly OOS!0

I think that's the point, Takoda. It's annoying, for sure, but it's not illegal."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Suggest that you escalate and complain to Paul Caplan, Go Outdoors Vice-Chaiman via sending him an email at paul.caplan@gooutdoors.co.uk.
Good luck and hope this helps.:)
Posting this rubbish every time does not help the OP in the vast majority of cases you have done it.
This instance, they have no 'rights' to buy anything at any particular price.0 -
