sportsworld - what to do?

Wait for the sales. Sportsworld do often have great bargains. You can spend the £60 in small bits on the odd bits you find. They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0

The trainers did not fit width ways, so a bigger size probably would not make much difference. Mum is going to make the complaint to head office about the wrong advice from the cashier, but has resigned herself to dragging my dad (who hates shopping - he has clinical depression and is not to keen on busy shops) to go and choose a pair with the vouchers.0

I guess that that is the best option to get your money is for your Mum to drag your Dad shopping to get some more his size - or if they cant find any he may see something else that he wants. Your Mum would probably be best taking him shopping just as the shop opens while it is still quiet. If they cant find anything put the voucher on ebay!Weight Loss - 102lb0

Why didnt they just switch them for the correct size, or get the correct size ordered if they didnt have them in stock?
As others have said, you have no legal right for to return the item that isnt faulty at all and a store giving vouchers is more than they have to. Obviously it is bad service to give wrong advice to people but as the old saying goes, a verbal contract is worth as much as the paper its written on.
Unfortunately too many people in the past have abused companies good will on giving refunds by buying an item (esp for a special occasion) and then return them for a full refund after wearing them. All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
