Is my credit history linked to the dvla?

Hi
I have never moved my driving license to reflect my new address and I want to get this corrected, however I don't want to find that my potentially bad credit history from this address affects my credit rating which I have worked so hard to correct (it is not linked in my current credit history)

Do the DVLA share address history with the reference agencies?!

Thanks

No. There's no reason for it to be linked.

Some time ago i started a thread on consumer action group forum , i told how the CRA, s are expanding , some now offer debt collection services , wescott DCA is owned by a CRA , they are involved with department of work and pensions , they do work for local councills , i think they are now linked with other government agencies , including the national health service , on the news today they may be used to combat welfare beneffit fraud , who knows what else these outfitts will do in the future , treat them with caution as you would a debt collection agency , this is big brother in action , George Orwell was partly right , The CRA , s , Will play a bigger role than you could imagine in the coming battle by the government to wach our every move , WACH THIS SPACE .

Are you sure that they are not linked, I assumed this was linked into your credit history from an address perspective?

All government agencies are linked and share information , they are now proposing to use private companies to gather and police that information , anytime you are asked for any information from anyone BE AWARE it will end up being shared . BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU .

  • Hi Wrinkles,

Whilst all information is shared, what I need to know is. Is it standard practise currently, that my driving license address details are immediately cross referenced with my credit report and any address linking is updated. i.e. my credit history will now link to my old address as well. Or do the CRA's only use electoral roll, and creditors for this info (banks etc)

    Thanks

Update on an old thread / any information given to anyone is cross referenced and can be accesed by anyone /our information is sent worldwide /CIA and other american agencies gather information on anyone and everyone / British agencies / DWP/DVLA/VOSA/NHS/LOCAL COUNCILS/AND OTHERS/ Banks/ Insureance Companies/ CRA/The list is endless/ Why do you think they want all this information / The whole world is on the brink of financial meltdown , no matter what happens the elite will always make plans for their own survival, if they know everything about everyone and they do then whatever happens they are ready to to deal with the civil repercussions when it all goes pear shaped / not convinced have a look at Greece , France, although the news from these regions and others is drip fed and somewhat censored / shades of things to come .:(

About the only reason DVLA might get involved is if you have HP on a car, move house without advising the creditor and the creditor starts following up address details via DVLA. They should only really have access to registered keeper details, but as it is a 'crime' not to update DVLA, you could be caught out thta way.

Little bit of paranoia showing here I think.

Reminds me of the old chap I interviewed when I worked for the British Crime Survey. When it came to asking his income, he told me "I'm not telling the Government how much I get" - conveniently forgetting who pays his pension and the info the Tax Authority/Council already hold on him!

If they're going to get you, they already know where you live!

No not paranoia ...... just trying to shine a light on how the data protection laws are meaningless ...... and how our information is used and abused by by anyone who wants it including criminals.... Cra...local councills...DCA... GOVERNMENT ... IN FACT ANYONE FOR ANY PURPOSE ... this is not fantasy it is fact ... i feel this is a growing menace the implications not fully understood by most people .
