N5 card

I bought this a year ago with the intention of backing up my DS games & not having to take numerous games around.

I never managed to work out how to do it (doh), so thought I would stick it on ebay.

There is the card, the usb flash drive & 4gb micro sd.

Having looked on e bay there are no other N5 cards for sale. I seem to recall something about them being no longer sold? If this right?

Is there a market for them?

No idea what I paid for it when I bought it so anything back would be good.

eBay don't allow the sale of modchips or cards such as yours.

In fact it was recently ruled that the R4 and all similar cards which allow the user to download copied DS ROM images, load them on the SD that slots in these cards and then play them are illegal to import, sell, or advertise in this country.

Is there a market for one? Yes I'm sure there is but not a legitimate one or one we could discuss here.

I do hope you aren't just posting this in the hope you'll get contacted.....

    Thanks Kwikbreaks.

No wasn't doing it to be contacted, I wondered if that was why they weren't advertised.

Is it legal to do as long as you have the games yourself and it's to be used as a back up?

Probably just advertise the bits without the N5 as I couldn't workout how to copy my games onto it so no point keeping it.

SFAIK they are still legal to own and use for "homebrew" games which was the excuse/reason for their original development.

It's usually a breach of copyright to make copies of any copyrighted material so doing so would be a civil offense. These cartridges were mostly sold to support downloaded games rather than copies of the owners cartridges so I'm not surprised you couldn't work out how to do that.

A quick search shows you can still find these cards priced in sterling but dispatched from overseas and the prices are low. You could legitimately sell the SD card but the value of that is even less.
