small garden pond
hello everyone
i would like to have a small pond to our back garden, the garden is mainly paved , but we have a small grass area about 2x3 metres and it's next to the house, would it be suitable and whats the best way of going about it. we would like to have some goldfish in it, but also to attract wildlife, we have had a frog in the garden this year and would like to attract similar. many thanks for any advice you may have.

Liner or rigid

hi wallbash
thanks for your reply, it will be in sun first thing in the morning , my budget is as cheap as possible, not much idea what it might cost. was thinking about £200 dont know if thats realistic. dont know about liner or rigid, hubby is a builder so the actual construction shouldn't be too much of a problem.0 -
£200 is a good start . Its late so will reply tomorrow .0

The pond will contain fish and is on a Patio.
So its an ornamental rather than trying to look natural. Thats the set up I have.
Rigid liner and fish. So a filter is required , Barley straw may well work , but it always looks a mess and you will want nice clear water to see the fish. Recommend a UV filter.... like wot I got
Water is pumped up to a tank ( hidden ) above ground, thru Uv filter and sponge back via waterfall to pond.
Pond is slightly above ground level , surrounded by a wide low wall. Doubles as handy seat.
