Urgent advice needed. What should I do If I wanted to end a listing early?

Hi. I have an item listed on ebay and advertised elsewhere. I have added a note to the listing warning bidders that I reserve the right to end the listing early. There is a buyer coming to collect the item and I need to end it.

My question is...before cancelling the bids on the item and ending the listing, should I email all the bidders warning them or only the highest bidder? And what should I put in the email. I'm not so good with words so any help is appreciated. Thanks.

end it after your buyer has collected just in case there is a problem
then email the highest bidder and say as stated in the auction item has been for sale elsewhere and sorry to inform them it has now gone, thanks for bidding etc
