Anyone switched dual fuel from Powergen?

Has anyone switched their dual-fuel from Powergen to a cheaper supplier(s) and found it worthwhile?

Yes Radio....to EBICO, part of Southern Energy, single tariff, simple bills, but really not good for just the one 'single tariff 'company.
Try Energyhelpline comparison service , and other sites too, clicking the social tariff button.
  • Same here...recommend Ebico!

EBICO are best for low users, Radio, and recently put up their prices, after one year at the old price. They are not guaranteeing this in the future, but wholesale prices are standing still or falling, so you could perhaps bank on EBICO prices being stable for a while, perhaps for a whole year.

We switched from Powergen to NPower 18 months ago but whether we saved in the long run is anybody's guess.
I figure that we may have done purely based on the fact that Powergen are always way down the list when I do a uswitch comparison but as for concrete evidence....

Just switched to Ecotricity for the leccy and NPower for the gas. Powergen called me toask why yesterday and I told them I wanted to switch to a more ethical supplier - he didn't know what else to say.

Yes,i switched to Atlantic and my direct debit payments went down straight away. The gas has now risen, but hasn't everyone's!! I am looking forward to a months rebate soon as well.I was with powergen for a long time but they just got dearer and dearer. The last straw came when i wanted to change to an online tariff but they said i couldn't !! I would actually have to leave then come back!!

Well i have done the first bit but they will be waiting a long time for the second...............:D
