corrupted files

hello everyone

a few days ago yahoo emailed me to say that i had a worm...i ran a virus check with norton but it didn't pick anything up

now however i sent an email to somebody with an attachment and they have come back to me to say it is corrupted

what should i do :confused: ........please help

    Are you positive the email from yahoo was really from yahoo?

    There are a lot of dodgy email hoaxes out there mate.

    Did you open any attachment in this email?

    What was the attachment you sent your friend, i.e. what kinda file was it?

    i din't open an attachment from yahoo...there was one but i thought better and just deleted it...norton isn't finding anything wrong...but my computer is running slower and my shift key isn't working...could this be connected

    the file i sent was a word document...i'm so confused
