Correct. Ridiculous.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
The Platinum account is on a white card. At least mine is. It has 'PLATINUM' written in silver writing across the top and a silver horse, but the card is white.Adam's diary - My Debt Diary - The Challenge | LBM May 2010 with £23,343.35 | £16,141.46 to go...

Yours must be an old card. LloydsTSB website shows pictures of all their cards and the current one issued on the Platinum account is silver/grey/platinum coloured:

You also get a silver card for the basic Cash account:

Correct. Ridiculous.
What's ridiculous about it?
They give you preferential rates and better deals depending on what sort of account you have.
For example, I have an interest-free £250 overdraft. Why would the bank NOT want to run some sort of credit check or scoring process before handing that sort of facility over to any old Joe Public that walks in off the street?0
