High Protein Grain Free Dog Biscuit Recipe

This makes fantastic dog biscuits that are suitable for dogs with intolerances to grains. It's my own recipe, so the quantities are a bit rough, but it's very easy. For a single batch of basic mix you'll need...

  • 1 mug Gram (chickpea) flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsps Baking Powder

To this you can add various flavourings. Our favourites are

  • Fake Grated Parmesan (found next to pasta sauces in the supermarket)
  • Meat/Fish Sandwich Pastes (check for salt and other rubbish)
  • Dried Herbs/Spices - Paprika, Garlic, Neem (indian herb, used by indian women as hair conditioner, does the same for dogs coats)
  • Shredded Dried Seaweed
  • Peanut Butter
  • Vegemite
Method:

  • Mix together all dry ingredients and flavouring.
  • Add 1 beaten egg and mix.
  • Add tiny amounts of water and keep mixing until it forms a dough.
  • Roll out and cut into shapes.
  • Bake in medium oven (180C ish) for about 10 minutes.
Let me know how anyone gets on with this. Every dog we've fed them to loves them.
