choosing bridesmaids

Would 4 be too many?
I have no idea what I'm doing!
That's a lovely way to speak about your guests! :cool:Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

hehe I was joking about calling my guest plebs. If I didn't like them, I wouldn't be inviting them - the amount of day guests we have is severely restricting wedding venues as it is. :rotfl:I just meant out with the people who aren't actually 'in the wedding'.
Still pondering the bridesmaid thing - but there's time. OH says he doesn't mind if I don't ask no. 2 which takes some pressure off, although I woud really like it if she was involved in some way. If I choose 4 and not 3, 3 will get really offended because they're part of the same group of friends and I've known 3 for longer.
I know everyone (even H2B and my mother) is saying I should just not worry about hurting anyone's feelings and have who I like. I'm just a great, big wimp.
As for organising the hen night, I've already discussed it with No1 option and she wasn't listening. I told her that a tacky hen night with strippers was my idea of hell: no offence to anyone who does want this - there's nothing wrong with it and I've been to my share of tacky hen nights and had fun, but I'm very, very shy; when I mentioned this to No1 she started going on about organised hen nights in Newcastle. I have no objections to Newcastle - good shopping and I adore the accent - but I don't want a 'proper' hen night and I suspect this would be less a nice dinner and a few drinks, than a drunken ritual humilation.
Man, I'm complaining again and this was supposed to be about bridesmaids. I'm going to be in a bin by the time this wedding actually happens.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Personally I would just go for choice 1, but then make it very clear that you're organising the hen do yourself. Or you could say that you didn't want loads of bridesmaids so no 1 is your bridesmaid but you want 3 and 4 involved in some way and so they could organise your hen do for you? Then perhaps think up some other thing you need doing and assign it to no2?
that's what i would do
good luck choosing, it is tough!xxx 0 -
if you can't have number 2 as a bridesmaid could she still do your make-up at no charge as a gift for the wedding? that way she will be involved in the wedding preparations. you could give her a small gift of thanks just like the bridesmaids? just a suggestion0
