Just a quickie... You probably don't remember because of the !!!!!! you were going through in your family life... but Thesis/Link bought a huge amount of loans from the SLC/gvmnt a year or so ago. I don't believe they picked the "bad debt" loans. (If i remember correctly, it was based on date, or surname or something else random.)
I have 4 yrs worth of old style (pre 98?) loans all defered... two are dealt with direct by SLC and the other two by thesis/link. They did provide new bank details, and maybe that's why your payments have been returned by SLC...0 -
Yes they did, thanks....but the way the letter was worded and due to the stress i was under at the time i misinterpreted what it mean't. I've explained this to them and they continued to pursue the full amount, depsite me expaining how it was a huge misunderstanding and willing to put the situation right immediately.
I owe £1000. It's not really bad debt, although technicially it was because i was foolish enough not to defer payments at one point years ago.0 -
Update - following complaint through FOS this company are playing ball and allowing me to make regular payments again.0
