With respect I dont think you have done yourself any favours by adopting a cavalier attitude when they phoned you and basically told them to reduce the limit to £500. You then decide you want an increase and you expect them just to increase it. Can you blame them for not granting your request with missed payments and a somewhat unhelpful attitude when they phoned you.
I did not adopt a 'cavalier attitude', it was unconveniant to take the call and disclose personnal details on the phone (she wanted to run thru my earnings) - I felt i was being bullied into doing a review - Virgin suggested the reduction in the balance which I had no choice in accepting.
Sorry for upsetting Virgin's biggest fan!0
