What should I do next?

I have just sent my credit card reclaim letter having received the last 6 years statements from capitol one.
In looking through my statements I noticed that for the first 40 months I had been paying PPI although on my original application form I had clearly put a X in the no box.What should I do next.

if you have sent your letter stating the reasons why you should not have paid ppi you have started the process, and from what you have just posted about the original agreement, this is a strong reason.

they have 8 weeks from when you post the letter to resolve your complaint properly, otherwise you can refer your complaint to the FOS. most banks usually write to you in when they recieve your letter confirming it is being investigated.

most take the 8 weeks, some a a bit quicker,

let us know how you get on and what they come back with and if they do reject your complaint we can then take it from there, but hopefully they will go in your favour if they look at it correctly

Complete the FOS questionnaire, you will come across this below the page on above link as Stage one of reclaiming.

Send to whoever was responsible for setting this up.

Keep a copy in case you need to refer to it later on, and make sure you get proof of posting at your post office.

They have 8 weeks to respond, but sometimes they ask for more time.
