Has anyone ever seen this s**t?

I'm sure lots of you have.

I first saw this when i was on holiday in the Isle of white.

At the end of the night, after bringing the kids back from the club and sitting down to watch some telly (only 4 channels :eek: ) The mint was all that was on. my OH was silly and phoned up :rolleyes: didn't win even tho he had the right anwser.

The thing is that now when ever i put the telly on late at night this sort of program is on

Totally agree with you. I rang once, I was in bed watching and the answer was obvious, didn't get through and got charged 65p or whatever for being daft enough to be duped by it, now I just avoid the station

I think the point the OP is making is that there used to be films or whatever on through the night on ITV and now they have switched to ITVplay to make some money, and they arnt doing bad they made £2 million in one month alone from Quizmania and thats just the late showing on ITV1 :eek:

I agree these quiz shows really annoy me when they are on through the night on one of the major channels (ITV). Ok if it is on their own channel or on challenge etc... but the ITV annoys me.

I suspect that they do not get much advertising revenue at these hours and this is more profitable.

I love The Mint - to watch - it's compelling "I've just left the pub and can hardly see yet alone speak" veiwing. Never been daft enough to call though...

That said a girl in my year won £4k on it, so some genuine 'winners' exist...

I can't believe that firstly anyone watches itv but i CANNOT for the life of me understand how anyone can have nothing better to do than watch these stupid con quizes AND part with hard earned money for absolutely nothing at all. It's fake and staged and hope they get a massive fine when they are caught. Get this rubbish off our screens so that basically the stupid people are protected from themselves. I suspect it is the people who can least afford it are wasting cash that isn't theirs in the vain hope of winning some money. Please, think about what you are doing. I hope this doesnt come across as being harsh against people who phone up, but it is a serious gripe of mine, I hate people wasting money and am only thinking about them. DO NOT ENCOURAGE THEM TO SHOW THIS CRAP. :rolleyes:

My local radio station has started to do this as well now on Sunday nights, it's called cash call, is there no end to this cr*p?!, i carn't even listen to the radio at night at work with out hearing it!

they were going to bring a new thing in that questions on quiz shows would have to be set a lot harder ie gmtv and this morning does anyone know any more about that
