I bought some lego at Wilkinson's at 99% off - only 3p, I then sold one on ebay for about £2.70, and another for £7.50!!!

    that's quite some profit margin!

    (over 30,000% profit!)
  • I bought a Fiorelli Handbag for £14.99 and sold it for £32...quite a nice little profit! Have bought a few more since but never made as much as that!

Blimey! How much did you buy the jacket for acidforums??

There are some really good profits on here, makes my £7ish profit seem really weak!!

Have sold a quite a few things and made a profit. One of the best was an old painted tobacco tin with inside of the lid painted as well; filled with draughts, ludo counters and dice bought in a charity shop for 50p. I still have the draughts (anyone want/got a incomplete old set of box wood draughts we could do a deal !) sold the ludo counters (bone) with the dice and a wooden shaker for £10 and the tin went for for £34.
  • Got given a caravan and it made £550. Free money

Sold a caravan for a friend, he said he wants £1500 and i can have what's left.
I started it at £1500 and it sold for £2200. More free money

Found a Nice twin butler sink over the dump one Sunday, it made £225 More free money.

I can go on, but dont think i should.

Had a small hardback book about the Ford Puma, which had been passed to me by my dad (who got sent it free), sitting on the shelf for a couple of years. Decided to sell it about a year or so back - went for £25 and the buyer even came and collected it! :D

Another good one was got a Philips personal radio free with a Philips cordless phone. Stuck it on eBay and it sold for £40 (and could be had in the shops for £25)! Some people are weird...

May be small fry compared to what some have made, but every little helps, and it's a great feeling when something sells for much more than expected! :)

  • Not my best profit but my favourite - i bought 50 packs of M&S 'tit'tape for 33p each inc P&P and sold each one at between £5 and £10 per pack plus £1.50 P&P - I couldnt believe it when they started selling so fast and there were bidding wars like i'd never seen on such a cheap item - they only retail in M&S for £5 a pack. But M&S had sold out in all their stores in November and of course all the ladies wanted them for Xmas.

Another good one was cat diamante picture bags and corset style bags (i know i hated them too!) but they could be bought for £2 + vat and sold anywhere between £15 - £35 when the trend was high. In fact its because of those awful little corset bags i was able to give up a full time job, set a 'proper' ebay shop up and then open my own retail store. Unfortunately i havent yet found another trend like it
