  • I know Looloo, i probably should have!!

thanks everyone for the brill ideas :)
GB - i love the message in a bottle idea, i might do something like for OH on our anniversary :)
Spoon - i love the not on the high street link - they've some lovely stuff :D
Nargle - i love the idea of getting them the smell of cotton, that would be a good twist on the theme! I'd love to get them bedcovers though not sure if my budget would stretch that far :(

I've had an idea tying in with their actual wedding day - for the wedding favours they gave everyone a different penguin book (you know the penguin classics you used to get?) and im sure id seen somewhere tea towels that were big versions of the covers of the books. ill do a bit detective work to see if i dreamt it or if it was real life and see if it's a go-er. to be honest, the tea towels isnt as exciting as any of hte suggestions you guys have given me so i think I'll get getting something off one of the websites above instead!

    :)

  • maybe buy a cotton cushion case and find a cross stich pattern for a couple something to do with love and cross stich it on the cushion? therefore it will be cotton and something to keep for the home :D

If you can sew at all, a scented lavender heart - see the sewing thread for ideas. You could embroider the date of their wedding if you were feeling adventurous!
  • Thanks samanthalvsben and xxxvickixxx - i love both those ideas! I'll go and stick my head in the sewing thread and also the cross stitch cafe for a read of the posts - sometimes just reading helps!

I'm not sure if I'd have time to cross stitch the cushion for their anniversary (i'm really slow!) but you have given me a brill idea for Christmas presents for family and friends this year - very MSE too! Sorry if it's too early in the year for the C word!! :o:)
