anniversary gift

Hey everyone,
I usually post on the DFW so this thread is new to me!
I'd like to get a small gift for a relative's 2nd wedding anniversary, the traditional item is 'cotton' and I'd like to get something to do with that. Last year for the paper theme I got the couple some origami kits which they both enjoyed so I'd be looking for something unusual and fun for them this year.
I don't have a lot of cash spare but if anyone has any ideas of things I could get that would be fab! I like crafts so I could make something if needed, again relating to the cotton theme, but I'm really stuck for ideas!
Any help, suggestions or ideas would be really appreciated!
Ta,

Hi Allie.. As it's their 2nd Anniversary and this is traditionally cotton, then of course you will want to get something made out of cotton. However, a more contemporary theme is china. Even though China is the traditional theme for 20th anniversary. This website has some links to other websites where you can order such stuff as Hammocks, throws, pillowcases etc and they can be personalised too. Try here too. Thanks handy, you made me laugh!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Thanks GB - I'll check out those websites, I hadn't thought of the china theme (as i didn't realise it was the contemporary one) and it might be easier to get something for that sop I'll have a look around and see what i can see. I don't mind if i have to spend a little more to get the 'perfect' gift, ideally it would be something a little silly but not so that it's a waste of money if you see what i mean! Those that matter don't mind, and those that mind don't matter0 -
Also Allie, for future reference, and this does have a cotton gift too.. This site has some rather nice 'messages in bottles'

How about some nice pure cotton bedlinen, Allie? Dunelm Mills often have bargains. Or some cotton embroidered napkins (a good market stall buy), done up in a hamper with sprigs of lavender and some room fragrance spray on the theme of "pure linen" or "freshly laundered cotton" , you know the stuff I mean? One life - your life - live it!0
