Thanks to some wonderful advice from you guys I now need to save approx 750 each month, I was thinking of opening and account with the post office (reward account)

Just be aware before you do this that it is not covered by the UK compensation scheme, but the Irish one. Good luck in your saving, hope this info helps if you didnt already know. Apologies if you did!0
