save files while playing

Hi,
i recently used GetDataBack to get some of my work when i accidently formatted my hard-drive. GetDataBack is a excellent software and was able to recover 70% of my hard drive, but for me to copy and paste i need a license costing £50. To avoid this i was able to open the non-corupted files and do a SAVE AS. Now this works for my documents and picture files but not my video or music files.
Is there any programs that i can play and save at the same time?
i am specifically looking for software that can play these files: mp3, avi, mpg, DAT and VOB. (especially the last two).
any help appreciated, thank you.
