Agreed Poppyoscar and Olliesdad - and personally I thought that's why it was called Whatever Happens insurance! unless of course you purposefully do something!

You would have to give precise details to the insurance company, they wont pay you out if you just say it was an accident.

I dont see how anybody can come on asking for help without precise details.

what tone was that then when all I said in my post was 'So how did the 'accident' actually happen then, you didnt say'. You did misinterpret it, I wasnt implying anything at all.

Anyway, Im off, hope you get it sorted.

I told them my partners son accidentally damaged the screen with a screwdriver whilst his dad and him were building something nearby - I promise you this was all the details that were asked and they said yep that's accidental damage you are covered. The engineer came out and said "I take it he just turned around and just slipped then" I said I'd get my partner if he wanted more details as I wasn't there at the time and he said no that's fine!
yes - 'accident' - apologies if i misread!
    and thank you

For the record Whateverhappens is not actually an Insurance Policy, it is backed by a trust fund, you have none of the protection provided by a Insurance Policy eg Ombudsman, FSA regulations on proper sales / clear paperwork etc etc, Financial Services Compensation Scheme etc etc.

If the trust fund runs out of money to pay your claim then your lucks out unless Currys decide to top it up.
