Where's the best value bed sheets?

I've been kitting out a new bedroom for my 4 year old daughter as we have a new baby on the way and DD really needs to move out of the cotbed. I've got some great value furniture from Argos and now need to buy sheets.
I was checking out the Argos catalogue last night and notice that both their normal single fitted sheets and their value sheets are both 50:50 polycotton with no other info, yet the normal ones are £4.99 and the value are £2.99.
It's only a small thing, but I was wondering if there was much difference in the quality. I want easycare linen and I'll be rather busy!
Anyone any experience in Argos sheets, or can you recommend other high street shops with decent value sheets. Don't mind ordering online, but as I only want 2 or 3 sheets, figure it's not worth paying for a delivery charge.

I don't think it mentions Argos bedding, but there are other recommended, good value brands.0 -
Have a look in TKMaxx. They do the egyptian cotton stuff very cheap.
Don't buy the cheapest, it'll be a false economy."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
Thanks all. I hadn't thought of TK Maxx, tbh I usually give it a wide birth as I hate wading through the racks. However, for sheets it's fine and I love Egyptian cotton and would prefer to get those, but as it's for very young DD was going to go for the cheapos. Will check there first.
Don't think we have a Dunelm near us now, will check them next if we do.0 -
If you don't mind shopping online you could give Mitre Hall and Letts (mitrehallandletts.com) a go. They have a wide range of stuff including egyptian cotton bed linen.0
