when to plant out shrub cutting

I have a black elderflower cutting that i`ve managed to root and grow on it`s about 5 inches tall by about 9 inches wide the question is should i wait till the spring to plant it out?

i`m very proud of it as i don`t have much success at taking cuttings

    Hi, I think if I were you I would pot it up in a largish container in some decent compost and put it in a sheltered area (not too hot), then plant into final place next year when all frost has gone. To make extra sure it survives the winter you could put some gardening fleece around it when all the leaves have died back.
